The 21 year old English midfielder of Arsenal, Oxlade-Chamberlain has been out of action since March 9 when Arsenal defeated Manchester United in the quarter-final stages of the FA Cup. The young player is hoping that he can recover from his knee injury quick enough in order to perform in Arsenal’s upcoming Premier League match against Liverpool which is scheduled to take place on April 4.
The former Southampton performer played a huge role in Arsenal’s victory FA Cup victory against as he provided the assist for the opening goal of the match which was scored by Nacho Monreal at the 25th minute but the player had to be removed from the pitch after picking up his injury in the 2nd half.
Oxlade-Chamberlain is no stranger to injuries as he had to miss out from the 2014 edition of the World Cup due to an injury.
Arsene Wenger and Arsenal have managed to cope well during the absence of Oxlade-Chamberlain as the Premier League club has claimed victories over West Ham United and Newcastle United.
The English midfielder spent his youth career performing for Southampton but it wasn’t until he completed his move to Arsenal for a transfer fee of €12 million that the injuries started arriving and injuries is a problem that has been affecting the squad of Arsene Wenger for the past few years.
This injury has kept Oxlade-Chamberlain out of action for over 2 weeks and he is hoping that it wont affect his future performances as he needs to get back in form and on many occasions this is hard to do after returning from an injury.
“I am all right, battling on. Injuries and niggles are all part of the game. When you come back from a long-term injury like my knee, it is hard and almost surprising if you don’t experience some sort of knock-on effects from it.’’ Arsenal’s Oxlade-Chamberlain told the media.
